Bedstraw Hawkmoth

Bedstraw Hawkmoth - Steve Waite trapped this beautiful and rare immigrant moth at his parents' house in Seaton last night, and kindly invited me over to see it. I jumped at the chance as it's one I've always longed to see. A big thank you to Steve, and to his parents who made me feel very welcome. Really nice to meet Fran too!

Dog's Tooth - a real bonus. Steve traps this species regularly in Seaton but I've never seen one anywhere before. A classic example of a localised species and a smart one at that, despite its muted colouration.
