Silver-washed Fritillary

Silver-washed Fritillary - a fair few seen this afternoon. In fact lots of butterflies up on East Budleigh Common, with fifteen species noted - Marbled White being the most unexpected.

White Admiral - several seen - most tree-height though.

Comma

Large Skippers - mating pair.

Green Hairstreak

Small Heath

Speckled Wood - master of camouflage.

Scarlet Tiger - nectaring. Good to see Tom this afternoon, like me, out 'butterflying'. He did well to pick this one out.

Pearl Grass-veneer - Catoptria pinella

Micro sp - got some work to do on this one.

Small Purple-barred

Grass Emerald
