Ancylis obtusana


 Small Buckthorn Roller Ancylis obtusana. Discovered on Bracken during an unsuccessful search for Heath Fragrant Orchids, on Bicton Common.

Still deadly quiet on the bird-front. A Mudbank count revealed 90+ Curlew, 4+ Whimbrel, 80+ Black-headed Gulls, 1 Sandwich Tern and just one Dark-bellied Brent Goose.

Broad-leaved Helleborine - Wright's Lane. A dozen counted this morning. Any day now...
