I had a strong inkling that this was a returning Yellow-legged Gull, now in its first summer. I figured if it was, it would soon reacquaint itself with the coastal waste recycling depot, where it spent a lot of time last autumn and sure enough, after work this evening, that's exactly where I found it! It's easily photographed through the holes in the fence, from the pavement along Langerwehe Way, just past the Imperial rugby club.
One of three chocolate-coloured Fox cubs on Orcombe Point this evening. Couldn't find a single migrant. Incredible.
I need to see this gull Matt! Might have to have a try tomorrow
ReplyDeleteHope it sticks around for you Tom. All the best. Matt
