Med

This first-summer Mediterranean Gull was on the beach at first light this morning. Unfortunately it has a broken foot.

Maer Rocks first thing - 1 Mediterranean Gull, 1 Great Northern Diver, 1 Turnstone, 2 or 3 Sanderlings, 1 Sandwich Tern and 1 Whimbrel before the fog rolled out of the river.
Nearby, on Orcombe Point - 1 Sedge Warbler still, 1 House Martin, 1 Grey Wagtail, 2 Stock Doves and 4 Red-legged Partridges.

Whitethroat.

As usual, I was distracted by the Green-winged Orchids. Many are past their best now but the majority still look fantastic.

Male Chaffinch - Orcombe Point.

Large Red Damselfly - this one pitched up in the garden today.
