Firecrest - Orcombe Point 18/10.
This morning's walk to work was enlivened by several small flocks of Redwings, flying around in an apparently haphazard fashion, presumably downed by the overnight rain and disoriented by the swirling winds, and low cloud. It was certainly very atmospheric, and work felt like the last place I should be! I did manage to have a look at the river at lunchtime, with 4 Lapwing and c2/300+ Teal being the most notable sightings. Really nice to meet Sue and great to see Libby and Dave as always.
Yesterday - a late post-work whiz round Orcombe produced a Firecrest and 6 Stonechats. A few Gannets and Kittiwakes were in the bay and a distant dark Skua was probably an Arctic.
