Not too much action on Orcombe today, but counts included 1 Dartford Warbler, 7+ Chiffchaffs, 4 Stonechats, 4 Siskins, 16+ Swallows, 1 Grey Wagtail, c40 Pied Wagtails, c60+ Meadow Pipits and what was probably a Tree Pipit, though a rarer species couldn't be ruled out considering the lateness and taking into account the brevity of the sighting.
Very little counting done off Mudbank but c200+ Black-tailed Godwits provided a lovely sight and with them, the male Ruff. Nearby, my second Dartford Warbler of the day was flitting around the edge of the West Lodge reedbed. Good to bump into Martin today.
A bit of a novelty watching this Dartford Warbler in the small reedbed at West Lodge. My first record for this site. No sign of the Whinchat today though.
The Ruff was again present off Mudbank, with c200+ Black-tailed Godwits, but very little improvement in quality of photo!
Vestal - Orcombe Point - two seen today (both pictured). A single Rush Veneer also.
One of three Clouded Yellows seen on Orcombe today, one of which was of the pale 'helice' form.
