Combined an evening trip to mum's with a quick look at the five White Storks at Matford. Two Short-eared Owls were hunting nearby, on Exminster Marshes.
These ringed birds are from the Knepp reintroduction project, but nevertheless provided a very impressive sight, particularly when airborne.
I wasn't expecting to find my first Crosswort at Matford - a really smart plant.
