Little Gull

Today's highlight was this storm-blown adult Little Gull. It spent a few hours off the outfall in Duckpond over the high tide period, but was difficult to photograph in the ferocious westerly wind. Otherwise, nearby on the Imperial rugby ground - 11 Pale-bellied Brent Geese, c100 Dark-bellied Brent Geese, 3 Turnstones and 4 Redshank. At least 1 Cirl Bunting was on the adjacent recreation ground.
Off a blown-out Mudbank - 1 Greenshank, 4 Ringed Plovers, c1000+ Dunlin. The Common Sandpiper was in the brook.

  1. What a lovely bird. So wish I'd not been so crook or I'd have been down in a jiffy!
