GND

Dark and atmospheric off Orcombe Point this afternoon. A single Great Northern Diver the only bird of note.

Off Mudbank this afternoon - the female Scaup still, 84 Shelduck, at least 10 Great Crested Grebes and a Peregrine that grabbed an unfortunate Redshank. Really good to bump into Roland again.
Off Orcombe Point - a single Great Northern Diver this afternoon. A quick look off there earlier, in foul weather, revealed a number of Gannets and an adult Mediterranean Gull.

This Great Northern Diver was sat off Orcombe Point, late this afternoon.

Peregrine with Redshank.

Dark-bellied Brent Geese - Mudbank.

  1. Nice to see you again too Matt. Thanks for pointing out the Scaup as I probably wouldn't have seen it if on my own. Happy New Year

  2. You're welcome Roland, though I'm certain you'd have picked it up. It was there again today but distant, in with the Shelduck. The pair of Goldeneyes was off there too. Hope you're having a good new year and look forward to seeing you in 2023! All the best. Matt.
