Nuthatch

Should probably check but think this is only my second or third Nuthatch on Orcombe - moving along hedgerows and then along cliff-top scrub before flying east.

Not a lot moving on Orcombe early on  but a small party of 6 Song Thrushes together in the top fields hedges lends a bit of weight to my assumption that they're continental birds. Also - a mobile Nuthatch, 1 Siskin, 7 Chiffchaffs, 1 Blackcap, 4 Linnets, 8 Meadow Pipits, 1 female Cirl Bunting and 1 Kestrel.
Mudbank - 3 Sandwiches Terns, 2 Pintail, 2 Canada Geese, 34 Redshank, 3 Greenshank, 9 Great Crested Grebes, 1 Red-breasted Merganser and 2 female Blackcaps. Nearby - the Whimbrel still in the Duckpond and 2 Ringed Plovers past the Imperial recreation ground.
Bystock - 2 Firecrests singing and 4+ Redwings.

One of three Sandwich Terns off Mudbank this morning.

The wintering Whimbrel is still in the Duckpond.

This Firecrest was singing its heart out in the Bystock reserve.
