Late Swift


Orcombe Point (0640 - 0850) - 1 Swift (east), 1 Willow Warbler, c20 Chiffchaffs, 1 Reed Warbler, 7 Meadow Pipits, 4 Tree Pipits, 4 Grey Wagtails, 1+ Yellow Wagtail, 1 Whitethroat, 1+ Siskin, 22 Canada Geese, 18+ Linnet, 10+ Greenfinch, 12+ Swallows, 4 House Martins, 2 Great Spotted Woodpeckers, 1 Goldcrest and 1 Blackcap. Just beyond my usual Orcombe route, at Sandy Bay - 2 Sand Martins, 2 Blackcaps, 2 Wheatears, 35 Starlings and c500+ Linnets.
A quick look off Mudbank produced 5 Black-tailed Godwits, 2 Sandwich Terns and the resident Yellow-legged Gull.
Derek and I did a walk from Blackhill Quarry to Woodbury Common, recording up to 3 Redstarts, 2 Spotted Flycatchers, 4 Wheatears, 1 Tree Pipit, 1 Meadow Pipit, c10/15+ Stonechats and c10 Dartford Warblers.
