Treble Lines, LT and GND

Treble Lines - one of just four moths trapped last night - the other three being Streamer, Shuttle-shaped Dart and Early Grey.

No real expectation today, with the wind in the west, but a morning watch from the back garden produced a Little Tern (fishing off Starcross for a while early-on), 1 Great Northern Diver that powered high upriver at 0815, 20+ Sandwich Tern, 21+ Whimbrel, 2 Bar-tailed Godwit, 17 Shelduck, 1 Grey Plover, a flock of 70+ Carrion Crow on Cockle Sands, 1 Great Spotted Woodpecker and the lingering 2 Pale-bellied Brent Goose and 5 Dark-bellied Brent Goose.

  1. Smart Treble Lines!

It's been a great season here for Orange Tips & quite a few other species, no doubt helped by 3 weeks of sunshine.

  2. Hi Neil - yep the good weather does wonders! Holly Blues particularly numerous around here but we've got two Holly bushes in the garden. All the best. Matt
