Garden Migrants

Otter Head and beyond, from Orcombe, shortly after dawn this morning. Bird-wise just 1 Willow Warbler, 3 House Martin and 2 Great Northern Diver were the only migrants noted.

Migrants from the garden today included 1 singing Whitethroat, 1 singing Sedge Warbler, up to 15 Swift, up to 18 House Martin, 4 Lesser Black-backed Gull, 2+ Whimbrel and c100/150 Dunlin. Also 4 Sandwich Tern, 20 Black-headed Gull, 3 Great Crested Grebe, 1 Peregrine (hunting the Dunlin), 8 Curlew, 2 Mallard, 2 Pale-bellied Brent Goose and 5 Dark-bellied Brent Goose.

Two of three recently-fledged Great Tits at the back of our house.

Common Blue - still tonnes of Holly Blue on the wing at the back of the garden but today's Common Blue was much fresher and the first I've seen this year.
