South Hams

Beesands.

Had some time today so spent the morning down in the South Hams. I love birding down there but it's too far for me to justify doing it regularly. Was able to pop in on Dad's grave in Highweek, and I also stopped off for a cuppa with Mum. 
Beesands - 1 male Ring-necked Duck, 28+ Tufted Ducks, 4 Pochard, 1 female Lesser Scaup, 29 Mute Swans, 1 Black Swan, 15 Canada Geese, 3 Coot, 1 Chiffchaff and 1 Grey Heron. A single Great Crested Grebe was offshore.
Slapton - in Ireland Bay c190 Coot, 130+ Tufted Ducks, 2 Black-necked Grebes, 1 Pochard, 2 Goldeneye, 58+ Gadwall, 130 + Common Gulls, 1 3rd-wint Yellow-legged Gull, 4 Great Crested Grebes, 1 1st-wint Mediterranean Gull and 1 Little Grebe
On the beach - 1 Snow Bunting, 2+ Rock Pipits, 2 Meadow Pipits, 1 Stonechat and 4 Goldfinches.
On the Torcross end of the Ley, a further 24+ Tufted Ducks.
