Three Shoveler off Mudbank today.
Off Mudbank today - 3 Shoveler, 1 male Goldeneye, 2 adult Mediterranean Gulls, 275+ Dunlin, 4 Sanderling and the juvenile Spoonbill.
At least 6 Purple Sandpipers were on Maer Rocks first thing and a Pale-bellied Brent Goose was with 54 Dark-bellied Brent Geese on the Imperial rugby ground.
Possible 'Scandanavian' Herring Gull showing lots of retained juvenile rear scapulars.
Two adult Mediterranean Gulls were off Mudbank today. The above a red-ringed Polish bird.
Sanderlings are sometimes scoped on Cockle Sands but they rarely get close in off Mudbank. This afternoon there were four in with about 275 Dunlin.
