Bithynian Vetch

I've been so looking forward to seeing this rare species. A dog-walk to Sandy Bay, with Lu and Maisie, after work and this single flower found. Another few days and there'll be tonnes more out so I'll be back...

Common Vetch seems to be absolutely everywhere at the moment - a stunning species in its own right.

  1. Nice. Is this the vetch we saw at Millenium Wood a few years ago?

  2. Hi Simon - it could well be but, to be honest, I can't really remember. I think I remember seeing Red Bartsia but not the vetch. Actually I think we did the bioblitz later in the summer, which would probably have been too late for Bithynian Vetch. Good to hear from you as always. All the best. Matt
