June Stuff


Cinnabar
 
A Dark-bellied Brent Goose was the only bird of note off the Imperial first thing this morning. Three or four Sandwich Tern were in with the Black-headed Gull flock that consisted of c50/100+ birds.
At least 10 Red-veined Darter were located at the local site along with 2 Common Darter. Other species noted included Golden-ringed Dragonfly and Keeled Skimmer. Six Crossbill flew over.

  1. Lovely moths Matt. Of course, you know my favourite ... that grass veneer!
    I have the new caterpillar book and it looks like either Silver Y or Beautiful Golden Y to me - black 'dash' mark on head. I guess, probably the latter, though could be Silver if it's starting to breed locally? Needs a clearer photo to be sure.
