Damsels, Micros and Dragons

Blue-tailed Damselfly

The Slavonian Grebe, 12+ Sandwich Tern and 2 Whimbrel on the lower estuary this morning.
Yesterday - 2 Sanderling, a Redpoll over east and 4 Mediterranean Gull.

Rest Harrow Piercer Cydia microgrammana - a very smart little moth that I've only ever found on the Maer where, unsurprisingly, plenty of Rest Harrow grows.

Birch Conch Cochylis nana.

A search for Red-veined Darters revealed four individuals this morning. Three of the four photographed.

Common Blue Damselfly

Black-tailed Skimmer

Netted Argent Argyresthia retinella.

  1. Nice! Loving your dragonfly photos ... but my soft spot is for the micros!

  2. Hi Nick - thank you. Loved your recent posts. Very gripped by your cupresella and your Shore Marble - not seen either. Look forward to seeing what you get next! All the best.
