Much less time spent in the garden today with a number of jobs needing doing, including a supermarket shop for mum and dad.
An Osprey headed very high upriver at 1145 and then dropped and switched direction towards Haldon. It appeared to be carrying a fish and kept losing height until I lost it from view. Half an hour later I picked up it or another midriver. It too was quite high but it gained height rapidly until it was a mere speck in the sky, heading in a north-east direction. There may well have been two birds but I can't be sure. Also recorded this morning - 180+ Curlew, 80+ Oystercatcher, 1 Mallard, 6 Ringed Plover and 1 wader sp that was either Dunlin or Sanderling.
