YLGs

There were two first-winter Yellow-legged Gulls on the Imperial rugby ground this evening. This new bird and the long-staying bird that I normally see off Mudbank.

A short look off Mudbank this evening, following work, produced 33+ Black-tailed Godwits, 7 Redshank, 1 Spotted Redshank, 1 Teal, 1 Whimbrel, 1 Ringed Plover, 2 Bar-tailed Godwits and 1 Turnstone. I didn't count the Wigeon or Brent Geese as the light was dreadful.

This second first-winter Yellow-legged Gull is the bird that has been around for weeks, often getting off Mudbank.

First-winter Great Black-backed Gull.
