Green-winged Teal

Don't know what's got in to me recently but yet another local twitch. After work this afternoon I went for the drake Green-winged Teal on Powderham Marsh. Always distant but hard to miss with that blazing white, vertical flank stripe. It's been a good few years since my last one but I've seen a few in Devon with single drakes at Starcross on 28/3/96, Bowling Green on 4/5/96, Powderham Corner on 8/3/00, Exminster Marshes on 27/4/04 and another on Exminster Marshes on 20/1/07.
Also seen at the north end of the Exe this afternoon - 1 Snow Goose, 45+ Sand Martin, c90+ Teal, 4 Little Ringed Plover, 2 Stonechat and c30/40+ Wigeon.
Off Mudbank this afternoon - 31 Dark-bellied Brent Geese and 8 Pale-bellied Brent Geese.
Yesterday afternoon - 60+ Pale-bellied Brent Geese with 17+ Dark-bellied Brent Geese off Mudbank, along with 2 Peregrines.

Just one Wheatear on the dung heap this afternoon. Otherwise - 2 Rock Pipit, c10/15+ Meadow Pipit, 1 Snipe and 30+ Jackdaw.
