Meadow Pipit - Imperial Recreation Ground.
Again not much time out today but the sun was out so I was keen to get some photographs. I didn't get out until mid-afternoon but managed to squeeze in some good stuff in glorious sunshine. The adult Bonaparte's Gull was again showing down to a few feet off Shelly Beach and nearby the two Black Redstarts were flashing their 'firey' retrices on the dockside apartment buildings. I searched the scrub that borders Warren View playing fields and was chuffed to find a Siberian Chiffchaff. It was a sod to photograph but exhibited the full suite of 'tristis' characteristics, although it didn't call once. I'm confident this bird is new in as I've been checking the area pretty regularly over the last few weeks. At least 1 colybitta Chiffchaff was also present, along with a male Bullfinch and a Coal Tit.
