Hail showers sweeping down river on a cold northerly wind midweek.
The cold northerly wind continues to hamper birding in Exmouth. It was actually more pleasant playing up in the snow on Dartmoor, with family and friends today, than sitting on Exmouth Seafront at dawn. Again there is very little report but there was a single purple sandpiper on Maer Rocks at dawn this morning and the black redstart continues its residence at Sandy Bay. Also at Sandy Bay late this afternoon, a couple of redwing and a small group of kittiwake gathering around the base of their nesting cliff.
Orcombe Point at dawn yesterday morning.
