Now Two Little Gulls

An adult little gull was again feeding close in off the Coach Park this morning. It was still very windy after a truly ferocious night. Later there were two birds present but while I was there they were more distant. Four goldeneye, including a drake, were out on the river and an adult kittiwake drifted past. Dave Stone came down for the little gull and was lucky to get a close-in razorbill too. I had a quick look off the battered sea front and it was clear there were large numbers of auks moving offshore. I also had a great northern diver and at least one fulmar but didn't give it very long.

This is the only shot I managed of a fly-by kittiwake - hardly worth it!

The adult bonaparte's gull was off the Imperial Rugby ground lunchtime. It's normally over on the Warren.
