Finally a Little Gull

I have to admit to being mildly frustrated by the lack of little gulls in Exmouth this winter but all that was remedied this evening with a beautiful adult located off the coach park. The gale force wind had forced it to feed close in and there was a sense that had it tried to fly out on to the river it would have been blasted back. This bird continues a fantastic week for gulls in Exmouth with two kumlien's gulls, and the adult glaucous gull so far. I also had an adult 'intermedius' type lesser black-backed gull on the estuary last night, alongside 5 'graellsi' types.

  1. Nice one Matt! A cracking little bird - thanks for the call mate. It was still present when I left at 1715hrs.
