Orcombe Point Early

 Sunrise on a chilly morning.

Orcombe Point - 1 bar-tailed godwit, 2 curlew, 23+ hirundine sp, 8+ phyllosc sp, c20+ robin, 12+ wheatear, 4+ alba wagtail, 5+ grey wagtail, 2+ yellow wagtail, c30+ meadow pipit, 1+ chiffchaff, 3+ willow warbler, 4+ chaffinch, 1 kestrel, 1 reed bunting, 8+ swallow, 1+ house martin, 4 whitethroat, 2 blackcap, 7 tree pipit, 2 redshank, 1 little egret.
Mudbank - 7+ mediterranean gull and 1 black-tailed godwit.
Nothing out of the ordinary today but lovely to be out all the same, in the company of Nick and Derek. It was noticeably colder and clearer this morning, with a chill north-easterly making life a bit uncomfortable at times. The overhead passage was much less than yesterday and low cloud rolling in early on didn't help matters. Most overhead stuff was heading east today - the opposite direction to yesterday!

Looking east from the coast path, a few hundred yards up from the Geoneedle. The footpath to the left cuts across to Gore Lane.

Little Egret - Maer Rocks.
